Is this a Good Deal help (Subthump Dual 12")

Hey this guy wants to sell me ******** Dual 12" JL Audio Subwoofer Box and Harness for 400$ I was just wondering if it was a good deal or not.
The box is made of high quality 3/4" MDF covered in carpet that is a perfect match with the trunk carpet. It has two 12" inch JL Audio 12W3V2 installed. Can someone tell me what these usually go for and what is a reasonable price for them. Thanks, Shayne |
Those don't look JL Audio subs to me.

More like kicker.

That's obviously just a reference photo for the box guys. I say if you didn't pay anything for it and don't need it in your car then that's a pretty fair price. I'm going to assume it was in the car when you bought it?
|
Yeah I think that's a reference pic.
And I am buying this from a guy so am I getting ripped off for 400$ or am I getting a steal? |
Is that the picture that he sent you then? I'd sure ask for a picture of the actual box and subs first and make sure they are jl audio. I sure wouldn't call it a steal though even if it is unless it's brand new.

Now 300.00 would be a great price for sure. Make sure you get that harness and all. That's worth a lot in itself right now. I'm waiting for them to get some more in like a lot of other folks. Those are quality speakers though for sure. I just looked them up and they're 279.00 for the subs each on the JLAudio site. They can be had lots cheaper.
I'd say if you were going to buy this setup new from a couple of places you could get it for around 700.00 maybe less. |
Alright by the look of it he has the w3v2 wich are a pretty old model ans eBay has them for like 200 for two. The one u saw was the w3v3 wich is the updated model so not to sure now

You can always get my setup that I'm getting rid of which I can promise you is a good deal.
