PSS or PS4S tires

Need to replace the tires on my 2013 ZL1. I have Michelin 315/35/R20 and 295/35/R20 PSS on there now. Weighing in on if I should get these again or opt for the newer PS4S tires. Difference being that it'd be 305/35/R20 and 285/35/R20's for the PS4S. Not sure if losing the extra 10mm in width of the rear tires but having a better/newer tire would be beneficial over the PSS's I got now in 315's. Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've never had the PSS, but I feel like compound technology is still advancing, so I went with the 4S. My mod list is very similar to yours and I think it's a great tire. Hooks all the way through 2nd gear when warm enough, and very good in aggressive street cornering.

I just had a set of the 4S's spooned on last week. I haven't really wailed on them yet, as they are still new but I noticed they are indeed quieter and not as harsh riding as the stock Goodrock's they replaced.

And they must be pretty popular; my guy had to go to three places to get four tires.

I wouldn't get the MPSS. Not anything to do with performance but that tire hasnt been around for like 3 or 4 years so if you run across some, they are going to be old and not likely to last as long as desired....... OR you could run into the problem my other half had and have the MPSS dry rot within a year because the tire was already 3 years old

Just get the 4S. I've had both and the differences you cant even tell unless you're at the tires limit.

I’m looking into the PS4s for my front tires. Probably a 295/30/20. I have R888Rs for rears. The stock GY are garbage

Get the PS4's since they're replacing the older PSS tire. I have them and love them. Quiet, smooth and still have great traction straight line and in the twisties.

This is all good advice, but no one has addressed if the size change from MPSS in 315s to MPS4S's in 305s is going to create a loss of grip, however slight. Anyone go specifically from 315's in MPSS to 305's in MPS4S's that can share their experiences?

I just switched from MPSS to the 4S on my car.
You will not lose noticeable grip going down 10mm on the rears. You will gain LOTS of traction on cooler days. I noticed the Super Sports liked to be 80 degree days or better, but the 4Ss are just fine at 50+.

Switch to the 4Ss and don't look back.
