Premium 370.1 ring and pinion
SOLD!
AAM 370 gear for $550.00 plus $50.00 shipping in unopened box. From RPM Transmissions, Decided to go with the 433. They have this gear listed on Ebay for $850.00 plus $50.00 shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tchlink:top:en (I assume the gear they sent me is polished but box still unopened. This was the only gear they would provide a warranty for because it is used by GM (OEM Gear) in some of their vehicles.) (Correction: Mine is not polished.) |
Sent a PM several days ago.

I may have taken a picture of the wrong gear that was on the shelf at Thunder Racing. It appears that Motive does not make a 2010 camaro gear. I am going to try to get a picture of the correct gear.
This is the AAM and it is black not polished. RPM lists this on their web site for $799.00. It is a much better gear than Richmond. |
I also have a set of the Jannetty racing 2010 Camaro SS JRE Billet Caps which were $169.99 plus $9.95 processing fee and $15.00 shipping that I will sell for $150.00 (new still in box)

why are you selling them?

I decided to go with a 4:33. I had a Center section from RPM transmissions ($2,000.00) with the 3:70. It was loud and got worse. Sent it back for warranty repair and they replaced it, under warranty, and it was quite and worked great. Put in Ram clutch (bad idea for drag racing launch) and broke in clutch and gear for 500 miles. First time at the track I broke the posi with 4 or 5 wheel hops. Could have been bad already but I think the differential bushings from pfadt contributed. Stick with stock bushings they absorb vibration. I now have the new BMR bushings and put in an bigger bolt to take up all of the slack. I strongly recommend this even for stock bushings. Also upgrade the drive shaft bolts and loctite them.
Sent it back to RPM for warranty and they refused to honor the warranty listed on the website. I sent them a Jannetty posi upgrade kit and paid for new posi no labor. Told them to upgrade to 4:33 gear and they said extra $800.00. This was after they sent me pics of shredded parts and being told they did not recommend using old gear. Told them if it was noisy it was going back. It was super noisy in the driveway leaving Thunder racing. After threats of litigation they finally agreed to send a new ADM 3:70 and install kit because I refused to send my center section back to them. They kept it a month the first time and month and half the second time. I had Zimmer gears on choctaw in Baton Rouge install a 4:33 and they did an excellent job. They set it up really tight and they know what they are doing. They even called to ask if it was quiet and if I was satisfied. Their price was more than reasonable with a two day turn around. So I have an extra 3:70. A couple of members have advised they will have the money after the holidays. |
How much did Zimmer charge you for install?
|
I had 370's in my 87 5.7 IROC, that is an awesome gear.
|
Zimmer under charged me and told me not to tell anyone what he charged. A lot lot less than what Jannety wanted. He called to ask if they were quiet and how I liked them a week later. They put them in in two days. They are starting to hum a little around 60mph but still pretty damn quiet. I have been abusing them at the track as usual.

Are these still available?
