BAD NEWS on 2011 deliviries - Power Stering
 

My dealer said my car was delivered, but I can't pick it up.....

There is a Power Stering issue reported that is being tested and GM has been told to stop delivery. It will be ok or replaced. Not sure how long this will hold us up?

Must be a safety issue if they are stopping deliveries... GM probably want to examine cars to see how widespread the problem is and determine if a recall is necessary. Hopefully, it'll just be a quick check and you'll be on your way.

I just got the call as well. My car was supposed to be delivered today, and NOW... GM let the air out of my balloon!!! I had everything ready to go. Cleaned out my trade. Got all my paperwork ready.... BOOOOO BOOOOO

I hear is could be cleared up today or tomorrow. .... I HOPE

I hope so, I was so stoked when I got up this morning.

I heard there was no hold up at all - a few folks in Oshawa just wanted to screw with a few guys in the states. Boy wonder who who those poor guys are?

Anyone from the plant can shed some light on this?

Yeh, checked around today as well and nobody could shed anymore light on the subject.....Hope you all hear tomorrow!

Mine is built but on hold at the factory.
If there is a problem, maybe mine will at least get corrected before it leaves the factory, and I don't have to rely on a dealer to get parts and know what to do. :rolleyes:

Is it just LS/LT models?

I have an SS waitin at the dealership. I was driving to work today and seen it sitting on the top row of the truck...WOW!! I hope this moves fast. My dealer is calling me back with an update later...

It might be a breaking issue, not Power Stering......I will find out.

I'm driving my 2011 2SS RS and no steering problems.
