GMPartsdirect - what a joke
 

OK - so I heard this site can be a little off on the shipping charges. Take a look at this, a $21 part is $100 shipping! Got rid of the $21 part and the big item and most expensive item comes out to $12 shipping. No thanks GMPARTDIRECT

I'd spend the $100 on gas and drive up and get it myself!

It says 'Approx' - so it could be mo money!

Yeah GM Parts direct used to be a lot better than it is now. It seems they are really sticking it to people when it comes to shipping. I have found it much nicer to deal with Patrick at GM Parts House.

Try it again $12.95 shipping for me. :chevy:

I did try again. It says $12.95 for shipping up to the last screen to PAY. then it changes to $100ish. I dropped the Hot Wheels emblem and just got the arm rest. Thought I could save money by ordering 2 items on one order. Nope.

Give them a call or shoot them an e-mail sounds like a web site problem. :chevy:

:word:I've ordered from there a couple of times and have never had any funny issues like that.

I also ordered a couple items from them at once and shipping only went up 3 bucks per item and shipping was fast...

The only problem I have had with them is the restocking fee

I think it's funny that rather than pick up a phone and call them to inform them of the error people just get on public forums and bash them..

no computer program is perfect, no database is 100% accurate and when dealing with 10s of thousands of parts mistakes happen..

For anyone familiar with technology, this is clearly a programming or configuration error that would be addressed by simply calling them for assistance or even sending them an email. I'll bet that would really appreciate being told about this issue so they could get their IT team moving to diagnose and fix the problem....:cool:
