Fixed the one thing that annoyed on my Rx Catch Can

I really like my Rx catch can but I cannot stand the drain valve. I always found it difficult to reach under the can and open and close the valve; especially if it was a bit tight.

I decided to take a trip to the hardware store and see what I could find to fix this. I ended up with a Husky air compressor ball valve (sku# 252 140). Anything with a 1/4" NPT male thread will work. The simple easy to turn handle is a whole lot better than twisting the original threaded piece.

I used a bit of thread paste and 10 min later I was back in business. Check out the pictures below.

Very nice. That's the one thing I can't stand about mine.

This is a $10 option for any wanting it....much better. To retrofit, it is 1/4 NPT male thread.

Nice job!

Had I known this was an option when I purchased I would have definitely paid the $10 to upgrade. :thumb:

Great idea. Much better than the drain valve and clear tube that comes on the can

SSGUNNER 07-23-2013 05:47 PM

Very nice. I like.
