Flat black on the Black gloss will look cool...

I can't wait to see pictures. I think they will look good on silver and gray.

Yep, cancel the stripe package and take the $470 and put it towards having glossy stripes painted on with a clear coat over the whole hood and trunk.

Two questions
 

Embalmer---can you live with these stripes? I really think they would be better if glossy BUT---just like everything else on this car, probably will look better in person. If I remember correctly the car looked better to you in person than in pictures. I grow more and more anxious for a real good look at real life SS.

How difficult would these stripes be to remove right away if I didn't want them? How difficult in a year or two from delivery? Never had decal stripes on a car before (At least decals this large) and it would comforting to know they could come off.

Anyone want to buy a set of black rally stripes?

My dealer is checking if we can cancel them but I think it's too late. At least the invoice will show factory stripes even if I end-up getting them painted on now :D

Good thing Tom Henry Chevrolet is offering painted stripes over the decals :)

OK! why are some of you saying you will just have them removed if you dont like them? isnt that like flushing 450.00? wish I had that option...

You do have that option - just buy CanadianCamaro's stripes. But hurry before Hylton gets 'em on his mower. :D

Seriously, I think you should consider buying a set of gloss black from Txturbo since your window sticker will say black rally stripes. Everyone will think they are stock, especially if GM decides to offer the black rally stripes in a finish that more people will want in 2011.

They'll fit the 22hp Craftsman but not the 23hp johndeer

:word: :cry: Flat black stripes on my red car = :barf: I'm at Event 3000 so I'm pretty sure it's too late. Should've listened to my sales manager and left them off the order to get installed later. I have a feeling $470 is going to taste reaaaaally bad when I have to eat it!

Then again, since GM won't offer the black stripes with a black car, maybe someone will want them - that's the one application where I think those matte stripes will look kick-a$$!
