Great write up Chris for folks who don't know how to do this, maybe more people will get into all phases of working on their car including paint correction!

Thanks Tim, I had so many of these ugly touch up areas that the dealer tried fixing which were such an eye sore. Instead of correcting the paint they just left globs of it on all these hairline scratches that really didn't need touch up paint at all. The passenger side front bumper looked like it had scuff marks on a gym floor. I really didn't want to take it to a shop right off the lot so I figured why not give this a shot myself, if I mess up I just saved a shop some prep time lol

To my benefit though it turned out just like my write up and saved myself a few pennies :D

Thank you!
Lol yes, I wasn't to sure if sandpaper and used were going to get along. Luckily it was for the best! I figured if I can do this anyone can so why not make a write up on it!

Update:
So right before I traded in my V6 I ordered BBK LT's w/highflow cats not knowing a week later a V8 would be in my future. I had the headers sitting around in a box and called up AutoAnything where I orginally purchased them back on 12/17/12 and told them my situation. They had no problem at all swapping out my V6 headers that I ordered and sat for 2 months in my house for some stainless steel BBK shorties. Since I still had some money left for the exchange for the credit difference I also got some Lloyds floor mats with IOM stitching that says "Camaro SS", and still have some extra credit left over so ill be using it for my adaptor needed for the strut brace

The customer service over at AutoAnything was excellent to me and definitely give them 2 thumbs up

I just need to wait for my an email return slip and ship the LT's back, so hopefully in a week or so ill have some photos of a few new goodies :D

Thanks :D The scratch removal process is very straight forward, no guessing and very easy to do. If you goto youtube you can watch mutiple videos on this.. It gave me the confidence to do this myself

Everything looked really well, did a few coats of orange yesterday and let this paint sit over night (24) hrs time before clearing it.. So today i get the clear out and did 2 coats and walked away for a few minutes.. i comes back and find it looking like this! :iono: what the heck did i do wrong? I painted and cleared my previous v6 engine cover and didnt have this problem.. Yet again it looks kind of cool.. if this ends up bothering me ill end up sanding it all off and redoing it again
