As we reported earlier, the Top Gear segment on the Camaro will air during tomorrow’s Top Gear episode on BBC (not BBC America). The review will be conducted by Richard Hammond, who is known to be a big muscle car fan (see his Top 10 Muscle Car List).

We now also now know a few more details of the review — a Camaro SS will be tested on the track (which looks to be wet) along with a Mercedes E63 AMG in a “sort of mad muscle car meltdown” according to the Top Gear website. The show has also posted a preview image of the segment.

Be sure to check in Sunday afternoon/evening as we will be sure to post up the Camaro review as soon as it becomes available after the airing.

Yea and they are testing it against a far more expensive Benz.

The review looks like it's being done by Richard Hammond. He liked the Challenger so I guess there's hope but it mentions a mercedes E63 AMG so if they pit them against each other prepare for a blood bath. :popcorn:

But Hammond is a muscle car fan whilst Clarkson dotes on Mercs. Expect Hammond to rave about the Camaro and its value whilst back in the studio Clarkson will give the usual tired stereotypes and extol the Merc.

Just wish I was back in the Uk as I used to blag regular tickets to the shows.

I just hope the track is not wet when the stig takes it around the track.

top gear hates american cars, go back and watch some past vids.......

i don't see what the big deal is - if it's wet out, people will understand why it get a good time. if it's compared to benz, people know, well "it's a benz"..the obvious winner is the camaro. besides, with top gear 'reviews" they're anything but -they bash or praise it and then end up saying "but don't get one, get this instead"

I couldn't care less what some stupid host of a car show wants to say about the Camaro.

I love the Camaro regardless of whether they stereotype American cars or not.

I think the Camaro will come out close to the AMG Merc. A 35K car vs a 85K car. I could buy two Camaros and still have 15K left over for upgrades. 0-60 times are close; 1/4 mile times are close and turning circle of the AMG is tighter than the Camaro.

Man, I cant wait for the Episode! >=D I hope it will be a long review =D I want to see the Camaro in their Top Gear lens filters and camera angles =D

it mentions on there that Richard is comparing "2 very different engines" It's might not be about the cars overall, but mabye looking at engines in price ranges or something. I dunno I'm just guessing, but it looks like alot of fun anyway
