Yep.. break in tuneup still in the car, car still has stock I.a.t timing pull table untouched and everything.. car goes through the traps with about 15-16 degrees..when I turn this thing up ill be going after some shop car records..

First hit off trailer it went 11.02 @ 129. I just spun and drove it away
Second hit it went 10.79 @129 ...against a fully suspended, slicked up gt500 with all the normal bolt on stuff..

Third hit I thought I was going to have a by run so I dropped pressure to 16.5 #s and ended up being put against ANOTHER cobra...I dialed in at a 10.65..... he won... because I WENT TO FAST!

10.49@131+ on a 20" tire.....ill upload the slips tomorrow but here is the vid the wife took of that one .

Damn son!!!!! That's movin for a 20" tire. I only managed a 10.9 @ 132 on a 20 inch drag radial in my 2012 GT500 on the stock suspension. To get any better than that I would need some suspension mods. You would have slayed my GT500 for sure!!!!

no bar, and Im not doing one... I might get a bolt in for events if they start giving me trouble but honestly the lsx events are run by smart people who realize if they start giving guys with 60,000$ cars issues about cutting up there cars the car count will drop like a rock... I use Muncie in Indian because its a great run full quarter track with NO TECH...

I had a converter push the thrust bearing out of the stock shortblock so it had to get it fixed..

it has a stock ci shortblock with stock crank and h beams and wisco 11cc dish pistons.. this was strictly a i had to get in there and fix it so i upgraded for upcoming stuff type deal... everything in the shortblock was fine and looked great but two rod bearings and the thrust bearing and the crank... sucks to break a brand new car because of a junk ass part...
ported heads, custom grind cam, ported blower (i did it myself) 2.38 upper and 9.10 lower, 2"tsp headers, stock catback, lpe cold air, 850 id injectors, squash dual pump fuel sytem, COAN converter, meth kit... no heat exchanger or ice chest of any type right now and still on 100% untouched car (suspension, brakes, weight, ect ) race weight was 4450 with me in it..same as my cts-v coupe..like exact same.. weird..

the car ran the exact same when the converter destroyed the shortblock and this exact combo while not simple is not rocket science.. I think the stock shrtblock is a tough cookie and could easily live with this amount of power for a long long time.... I will be reusing every part of the rotating assembly in another car im building for my daughter to drive...lsa rods and pistons are not junk.. they are deff beefy parts..

I have my 2013 ZL1 loaded with power now and the 315 nittos will be on this week. I have been trying like crazy to get the wife interested in buying a GT500 to park beside it in the garage. She wants conv though and I`m good with that.. It would be Nice to have a Black GT500 parked by my red ZL1..Dreams baby..

no dyno time yet.. i am hoping to get on the dyno to get some more tuning done before Atlanta this weekend.. race weight is 4450 with me in it.

The cars only issue right now is blower heat but im working on that... it needs a intercooler tank for the staging lanes and burnout time...the IATs after a run are in the 160s.. not terrible, but not great either..on the street its fine because the car is moving and cools right down but at the track when the cars sitting in the staging lanes and doing the burnout, no air is oving so a bigger exchanger is not the solution, it would help. but the car just needs more capacity and ice.. Rick from Livernoise said his record time on 20s is 10.10, so thats the new goal..then after 10.10, you know whats next :)

Good to see you got it back together and its running good. I love the ZL1s and Im not really a fan of the new Shelby but a local guy has one and I have to say good luck man . They are bad. His runs close to your car with just a pulley ,tune, and tires.

That is a sick time on 20's, I was wondering, do you think it would be possible to get a time like that with an M6 on 20in DRs? I was thinking about going to the 17in drag slicks cause I have such a hard time hooking up, and I don't have any mods yet.

Would be cool to see what it can do on slicks. All I could get out of my 2012 GT500 with the TVS blower swap, custom tune, O/R-X pipe and slicks was a 10.5 @ 135. Id say right at about 4k in mods.

car got more timing today.. and I.A.Ts now seem to be under control....3 passes on the street and never got over 100... actually dropped on the big end of the pass.. i am very impressed with this meth kit.. very impressed... i am pushing this blower WAY harder than any normal person would on there car and with a little tuning it is keeping everything in check...

raced the car in commerce GA all weekend and the DA never dropped below 2400 feet.. car was not tuned for such terrible conditions apparently as it would not get out of the 10.60 to 10.80 range all weekend.. it was going 6.6x 1/8th miles during some testing on sat at almost 107 mph...

it went 1.51 60 on the 20s as well...

In Indy last year the da was between 3600-4k. At 680 rwhp I was clicking off 10.1's with no performance loss due to the terrible conditions.

The converter bolts loosened up on day 2 and lost around .2. Still not bad.

Jamie - you thought about ditching the 200 pounds of ice and look into the Super Chiller? I have no personal experience with it but have read a lot about it. Looks solid and works very well.

6.60 is a 10.29 according to my calculations. The ECM must be pulling timing a bunch due to heat soak.

Wed night the car went 10.36 at 135. was a mediocre pass at best.da was 2550 at the time of said pass..... I aired up the tires and took it on a 400 mile road trip from St louis to Osage Beach ( lake of the ozarks) for there hot summer nights car show on friday. All on the same pump 93...


Camaro fest has any type of prep on the track and even just Decent da, expect big things... on 20s..
