Are you happy with your camaro?

Sorry for what seems like an odd question but my wife and I have driven several 16 and 17 ss camaros and have been impressed. However since I’ve been on this forum I have read many many horror stories of problems plaguing owners of these cars. I’m aware if you look in the problems section you will undoubtedly find problems I’m just shocked at the amount and severity I’ve found. So how many of you are genuinely happy with you Camaro SS?

Very content with my 17' 2SS 6M and no issues here. Very well balanced performance imo.
I wouldn't recommend the A8 in this car. There have been issues and the paddles are slow to respond.

Two thumbs up here.

First production model years will have minor issues here and there. Goes the same for most mass produced vehicles.
Although some owners have reported slight issues, I don't recall hearing major issues like blown head gaskets, etc...
If you look for the newer MYs, I think you'll be fine.

In my case the jury is still out. I only have 400 miles on mine and it's hibernating. In the short 400 miles I did experience a notchy 1st and 2nd gear at times, which some attribute to the gearbox being cold, and perhaps needing a fluid swap at some point. We shall see. The panel gaps on the car are questionable, and I had to realign the driver's side of the bumper with the front fender, along the wheel well edge. Beyond this I love the car, ask me again in a year.

I have 12k miles on our 2016 SS and about 1200 on the 1LE. No issues so far, and loving every second of driving them

If I had it all over again.. yeah I wouldn't of special ordered my 16 2ss. I got all into the hype of this forum and youtube videos about it and fellow 5th gen told me to wait that he thought it would flop and they be giving them away in the winter.. He was right.. They flopped and guess what he now owns a 6th gen ss after riding in mine however, he paid about 15k less for his off the floor new one compared to me. Live in learn this was my first time ever ordering a car before it was released will never do it again. lol

If you read all the magazine articles about this car, they are generally very good reviews (car & driver, motor trend etc.) I've had mine a year and a half and no issues, 9000 km. and it's fun as hell!

Yeah I waited and paid $ 28k for my 2017 ss Automatic convertible . I have friends in the dealer world . Mine only had 12k miles on it and drove ( it seemed ) faster than a hard top. Bought it late last year and stole it for the price . About a week later it went 12.20s bone stock first night out , this bitch will hit 11's easy even without drag radials.

I love mine! The 17 V6 was fun but the 18 SS is the bomb! These forums are not representative of problems you may have with a car. People who never have a problem don't post. Check out truedelta.com if you want to see how Camaro reliability compares to other cars.
