1LT Parts for salvage

I have the ability to purchase my 1LT from my insurance compay. The drive train is intact the under carrage is gone. The car has a total of 1255 miles. Automatic transmission The interior is gray and has the connectivity package. 3 of the rims are okay but the rear passenger side took nearly a direct hit (they have been chromed). Front airbags are intact. I can get it for $8000.00 but have to do so by Monday/Tuesday. The car is located in northern California.

how is the drivetrain intact if the right rear wheel is bent up like that? or do you not consider the rear end part of the drivetrain?

We call dibs on the interior parts. Let us know what you will sell some of it for.

Wife is sad, and does not understand why they are so many wrecked Camaro's. Are the people causing the accidents so busy checking out the car that they forgot how to drive.

Are those 20" Polished? If so I would give 200.00 per wheel with tire on the good ones. Meaning not scratched plus shipping.

I think their chromed aftermarket style.

The price seems high for that amount of damage. In the pics, it looks like all the panels have damage. Did transmission get impaled by the driveshaft? Also, with that type of impact, the seatbacks have most likely deformed (rearwards) as well.

Sorry to say I do not have the capacity or ability to part out this car. An individual interested in selling the parts might be able to make money doing so (not my specialty) I was actually hoping that a project minded car restore person would want to gut it and modernize a classic muscle car. If this were the V8 people would be wetting themselves at the chance for this type of project.

As for the damage to the tranny my only clue is that there was no fluid leaks. The price was set by the insurance company and I wanted to let everyone know. The biggest thing to state is the car itself cannot be fixed it can only be used for parts.

BTW, everyone is okay, my wife was stopped and dingdong hit her @ 70 MPH. We have replaced our red baby with a 2SS and OMG awesome!
