I turn 60 this coming weekend. I just came across my PADI dive certification. I was 22 and in West Germany at the time. Wow...

Congrats on all your life experience.

Wow that's pretty cool!!

Happy almost birthday buddy.

How’s the grand daughter doing?

SlowLS1 06-13-2023 05:00 PM

Happy Birthday!

I'm 48 and my now adult kids just smirk at me when I tell them that it's all just a flash when you get older!

Thanks for the great thoughts everyone. Yeah time flies. Seems not so long ago when I was pissing and moaning about turning 50. Ugh!

@Blue 13 - granddaughter is doing great and growing up so fast. She's flying to Oregon to be the Maid of Honor for an older friend of hers and is all excited about that. Jeez, it seems like just a couple years ago I was buying her first dirt bike when she was 8 years old. That was nine years ago!!

Wow, June 17th? Me too! I was born June 17th, 1964! I'll be 59 this Saturday! I'll hoist an extra for you too! Happy Birthday! :happy0180:

I turned 60 last year. Mentally took it better than I thought I would, lol. Years do start to fly by. I'm really very lucky - I still have both my parents and older brother. Already have Father's Day plans for my dad and my daughter for myself & my son-in-law.

Congrats on your milestone!

Hard to imagine it was 57yrs ago when I got my brand new ‘66 GTO. Started my 75th lap around the big track in Dec but still 18 behind the wheel everyday :burnrubber:

I was 52 in November. My family is all gone with my dad passing last year. My (2nd) wife just turned 38 in April. My two daughters are 27 & 21 with my oldest due in august making me a grandfather for the first time.

We're a bunch of old farts! That's a great pic, Blue.

My dad's still kicking and I still have most of my siblings. In fact they will all be descending on the house starting tomorrow, for a birthday bash. My mom passed a few years ago and my second oldest brother died along with his girlfriend at age 16 in a motorcycle crash on his birthday when I was 11.

It's been a good life overall and later this year, I'm thinking of starting training for my sport pilot's license!

I haven't had a drink of any alcohol for a few months now but I plan on hoisting one with ya on Saturday, Nothing!

I turn 60 in September and was in West Germany in 85 as well. Time does indeed fly by.
