Starting Issue - Cold and Hot

I've researched the forums and noticed the common hot start issue but my problem is a little different and I'm looking to see if someone has found a fix or has any ideas.

Car cranks for a long time before starting. When it starts I get the crank position sensor code as well as all the stabilitrak lights and no tachometer. This happens cold or hot the same way. Battery is brand new and I tested the voltage of the battery when the car is running and not. Voltage rises as it should when idling so I suspect alternator to be fine. My assumption is the long crank drains power resulting in the tach and stabilitrack issues.

Please let me know if anyone had a similar issue on cold starts.

I would fix that Crank sensor code first. That would cause the tach to go out also.Probably just a crank sensor.

I dont believe its the actual crank sensor. I dont get that code every time and if I clear it, it stays off for the rest of the drive.

Update: I added the secondary ground in the trunk and will be adding the secondary ground between the engine and frame today. No change after the trunk ground was added.

Did you end up fixing this issue? I am experiencing the same issue even after replacing the crank sensor, and adding the extra ground from the engine to the frame.

Did u do a crankshaft variation relearn procedure with a scanner after replacement? This needs to be done!
