2010 Camaro price increase price protection new status 2500 Order sent to production

Hello again Guys
so last week my order was placed and today it's been updated the status again to the 2500 Order sent to production
hopefully I will get an official build week next
It should be the 3rd week of March
Does anyone know about the price protection process ?
As you may know they had a price increase already depending on when you order the car you are protected and are suppose to get the old price then the dealer is credited back by GM
It looks like mine went up $235.00
2SS SUNROOF BLACK 20 INCH HIGH POLISHED WHEELS
The sticker price will show the new price so you will have to get with you dealer to get the credit up front
Here are the details
DON'T PAY MORE THEN YOU NEED TO........
I am not allowed to reprint the entire message but here is the summary
Chevrolet will announced revised 2010 model year prices for Camaro effective with vehicles produced on or after February 18, 2009. Model and option dealer discounts will be reduced. Dealer invoice amounts will increase accordingly.
Sold order price protection eligibility dates are dictated by the customer and dealer order dates as follows:
-Customer order date must be prior to the date of the price increase.
-GM systems order date (date dealer enters in GM system) must be no more than one work day after the date of the price increase.
These units will be invoiced at prices in effect at the date of production; however, the dealer open account will automatically be credited for the price increase once the unit has been delivered.

Double check your event codes............I think you have been "Preferenced" so far and not sent to production yet. At least that's what my documentation said when I hit 2500 weeks ago.

Either way, welcome to the waiting line.............

1100, Preliminary order accepted
2000, Order accepted by GM
2500, Order preferenced
3000, Order accepted by production control
3100, Order available to sequence
3300, Order scheduled for production
3400, Order broadcast
3800, Order produced
4000, Available to ship
4150, Original invoice to the dealer
4200, Shipped by the plant
4800, Bayed with the carrier
5000, Delivered to the dealer

Hello
I took that code off the GM web site this morning
The codes maybe different for the 2010 Models
Your codes are for the corvette process and it just maybe the Camaro is different
But thanks for the input
Maybe Scotty can help
Thanks
Richard

This is interesting....

Pretty sure "preferenced" is fancy talk for "sent to production". There's just varying levels of "sent to production" (as shown by the various codes for production processes).

The ones in my signature aren't from a Corvette, they are from my order and 2500 on mine said preferenced. 3400 is when it is sent to production. Again, per my Order Workbench.

those are some OLD codes, from 2006, that is what they were when I ordered my 2007 Sky... but maybe those are newer than the ones posted here, I don't know

The price protection is just as described in your own post. My dealer confirmed it.

Hey everybody I'm new here. I ordered a 2ss/rs black on black white rally stripes auto 6 speed polished 20s. ordered on march 13. I noticed alot of you are at status code 1000 ,1100. My workbench says I'm at 2000 when I recieved it from the dealer. How did I get a 2000 out of the gate?

Sean_W 03-28-2009 08:12 PM

This is getting realy unfair. There's no way that people who ordered two weeks ago should have their orders accepted befor people who ordered 6 months ago.

Can someone explain to me how this is happening? Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for those who are getting theirs like this, but I"m sure you could understand my (our) frustration.

its called life aint fair I ordered 5 months a ago and am 3 in line out of 3 and i will probably be the last mother fer to get my car lol

trm0002 03-28-2009 08:18 PM

Could it be that 1100 was only for orders during the pre-ordering ? Maybe all orders start at 2000 now that production has begun ? :iono: It might just be an "equivalent" stage now...
