How is everyone taking care of the hood carbon fiber insert?
The manual days no waxing but mine could use some. What are you pros using on it?

If it is the exposed carbon fiber hood it is clear coated and can be cared for like the rest of your paint. |

The manual is not sitting in front of me, but I could have sworn when I read it that it said what you said for the painted one, but that it is okay to wax the ECF, and I can tell you from experience that is okay to wax the ECF |
I'm going for it then.

The ECF insert and also the Ashen Grey painted insert can be waxed with no issues |

In fact, since they ditched the matte black option and the others are painted AGM, I bet that can be cared for as normal painted parts. |
Page 10-90 for the 2013. But I'm waxing it next time I wash the car.

Matte Black couldn't be waxed. The ECF ALWAYS could be waxed. Because of the issues with the Matte Black, it was dropped as an option starting in 2013 and they offered painted AGM instead. They just didn't update the manual. go for it. |
