L99 Max Hp?
 

I've seen plenty of 530-560rwhp L99 with stock bottom ends that seem to have been running for quite some time (1 yr+)...

Anyone know of any 6xxrwhp+ L99 without internal work running reliably? Or even higher maybe? At what point should we start worrying about pistons? I've always had a rule of thumb that after you hit 550rwhp you should start worrying about throwing your pistons.

Anyone correct me or educate me please? I'll be cammed next week and was thinking about throwing in a 100 shot. That'll put me at 5xx rwhp. I know it'll hold but I want to make sure because I have no way of fixing car here really if I blow engine. Would have to buy a new crate motor, which wouldn't be a bad idea but would hate to invest in this l99 only to blow it in 6 months.
