Official Camaro Website

When is GM going to make a decent website... something that conveys excitement like the 2010 Mustang site. Current site is outdated and boring... (Order your's starting October 13th... etc)... I know they're hurting for cash, but image is everything, and the current website just doesn't cut it. It's just a shoddy site with a few pictures of the car. People that see the car on TV or whatnot (Daytona 500, etc) are going to look it up and thats what they see. Boring.

VERY true. I thought the same thing. and not just the mustang's. Even the new hyundai genesis coupe has a sweet setup. We've got months old headlines and a slideshow of four pictures. yuck. Totally uninvolving and unexciting. Hope someone at chevy notices this.

i'd say they know this. for one reason or another, they ain't done anything with it in forever, though. it is kinda sad, considering how much the interwebz has a critical role in marketing now.

Yeah Hyundai's website is killer. eh! GM needs something like that to catch some attention. I love the way you can edit your own video of the test drive. :w00t:

I think Chevy's whole site could use some A-Rod Juice.

I wouldn't mind seeing a little pizazz either when logging on. Don't think it could be that tough for a web designer to do. I mean...abc, nbc, cbs, espn, etc, etc, etc, have people hired for one thing and one thing only...to "make" backgrounds, drops, lighting, effects, etc for commercials and those people do new things daily. Maybe I'm a little off base...but adding a video to the front page "welcome to Camaro" would be a nice start.

I am not bashing in the least. But, spicing it up just a tad couldn't hurt...or cost too much.

My guess is that they are holding back a really kick-ass Camaro site update for the launch day. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. Given all the crap that some people on here have raised over issues like ABL, stripes, etc, I am sure that GM would like to avoid that with the general public and is being ultra conservative on posting much detailed information to their official site until everything is confirmed.

Silverghost 02-21-2009 08:43 AM

I think they wanted to spice it up a bit when the had chevynation.com online, but that never worked out like they planned. It was the last place to get updated every time. I think the idea was a good one, just not carried out well.
