I'm in Abilene, currently.

I'm currently in Lawrence. Look for the Subaru Impreza wagon with a cracked windshield. It's green.

I'm from Olathe, Kansas. I have lived all around KC though.

Question: Since all of you know what the weather is like in Kansas, who thinks I need a second car for winter driving?

383ss 01-27-2009 04:22 PM

winters in KC are pretty weak. There will only be about 2 weeks of the year you can't drive your car.

Ject 01-27-2009 04:59 PM

lol I'd have to disagree. The weather itself isn't all that bad but the Roads suck horribly. They don't manage them well here in Wichita and when they do manage them... you are guaranteed some paint chip and dings for at least 2 weeks time from all the salt/gravel they lay on the road until it blows away.

I highly recommend a cheap daily driver if you can afford it.. especially for winter time because of all the reasons to harm your car.

JayhawkSS 01-27-2009 05:53 PM

Not to mention the corrosive salt and chemicals they put on the roads to melt ice. I'm not worried about control, but I always want my baby to look good. I'm either keeping my SUV or getting a cheap truck.

 right on. Im keeping my truck as a daily driver.. or when its bad outside / crap on roads... or rainy.

Man, cats out of the bag now! I was working for Don Hattan Chevrolet, but it got to slow over there. I sold 5 Camaros through them, and had to give them up. Now I am at Rusty Eck Ford... Trust me I didn't want to swich but sometimes it is just how it is in sales, I have to eat ya know! I have not order my Camaro yet, because I was at a Chevy store and wanted to take car of customers first. Money became an issue, slow store= no money, but I have cured that part now. With 11,000 on order there is no way I will get mine before next winter, so I will wait and see what goodies next modle year brings. Another reason for the swich a slight promotion to the internet dep.

What dealership did you order from? Please don't say Joe Self!
