When we modify our Camaros, when we make one piece stronger, everything else in the system becomes comparatively weaker. We try very hard to maintain that balance. It is why our bars are sold with endlinks. Stronger bar, stronger ball joints and larger mounting surface to more evenly distribute the load.

When you replace you arm, you should remove the other endlink and verify the hole is round and the tab has not been deformed. We want trouble free travel to the Fest!

Ok. I'll check the other one. I"m thinking I better pick up some end links. Hopefully not another arm as well. I've never had the other come loose so I may be fine there.

LOL...I know that feeling.

I was lucky...I had a team helping me out. We had coils, stainless brake lines, front sway bar, and rear sway bar done in 1.5 hours. Still need to get the radius and subframes done. But, shouldn't be that long. Now...leeettts see how long it takes to take them back off your car....

I would take that bet on all but the front sway bar. Lol. I was actually staring toward the motor mounts as I laid under the car. :laugh: BUT I might win the bet because if I had to do it again right now, I'd cut the bar coming out.

Thanks very much... everyone... sorry we're weren't more interactive yesterday...

There is a lot that you need to have sorted out before you install these.. the inserts are pretty straight forward.. The rear sway isn't bad if your exhaust isn't in the way...

The front sway is a kick in the.... :confused0068: The rear coils are by far the most difficult, if you really know what you are doing and have all the right tools it is a one man job... The hardest part on the front coils are those damn clevis bolts on the knuckles...

Mossman was the key to us getting it done... he got the sway bars sorted out with a little very little help from me... :D

My assessment. you absolutely can do this yourself .... Must have tools... BIG breaker bar. wrenches up to about 24 mm. Six side deep well 1/2 sockets up to 24MM... small to medium vice....

and an impact wrench is a HUGE help... Almost a necessity.

If you've never done it before it's a two man job...

Damn the car sits down nice a low :D

Talk to you guys soon, trying to get it aligned today, we'll see.

a crap-ton of money... I heard it took like ten minutes to install mine... but... the front clip wasn't in the car, and there was no motor on the clip, and....:D

I changed out the upper controll arms on my sons Jeep Lyberty..... :suicide: SUCKED......

And I only threw the billing deal out there since working in the oilfield, my rig is making about 280,000 per day, and when we go on subsea downtime, it figures out to over 10,000 dollars an hour... I hate those reports... and the phone calls, and the e-mails, and the visits from office dudes and dudettes, and visits to the blue room... etc... I just wish I was making that hourly rate... I'ld have................... something..

it is all about approach angles. Of course it is my business but I lower every thing and drive every where. If you don't rub some time you need to go lower.

We did some work with GSF/TO and it was recited to me how much 'down time' would cost each rig...they don't mess around when it comes to knowing exactly how much they're making an hour...and it's nuts.

And I'm looking forward to hearing about how the alignment went...and my first test ride post mods. However, I feel that ride may wind up inflicting substantial pain on my wallet.

When I first came offshore I worked as a medic on a GSF project.. Then for a while I ended up working on a TO project...

Now I work for Diamond Offshore, no longer a service hand, and yes, it's universal that everybody from the newest galley hand to the Co-Reps know almost to the dollar the day rate for a rig, and how much of a percentage you loose if the soft ice cream maker goes out etc... It kills me that we have some equipment that we never ever use, but heaven help us if it gets on a report that it doesn't work, and the Co-Reps find out.... Oh Lord...
