Just bought my new Camaro this weekend and....

I fricking love it. I bought the RS model after a long test drive and I was happy with the power a six can make. I was amazed actually. I had other cars with V-8's that didnt go like this one. The SS was ruled out by the higher insurance for me and the fact I am not the richest man. Regardless I am new to the group and look forward to reading all about the mods you guys are doing.
I do have a question though. What are everyone's thoughts on adding a cold air intake? Is it a joke and wont give me a HP boost or what? Also will it void my warranty? Please post a link if this has been asked before. I hope someone has dyno'd the before and after results. Thanks Much Guys. I added a local girl in the picture cause she looks better than me. |
welcome and congrats on the camaro. planning on adding a CAI myself, the Airraid cold air intake for the v6 seems to be the most popular. and by reviews it does seem to add some to the power.

Congrats, FYI RS is not a model designation, it is just an option package, You either have a 1LT or 2LT with the RS package...
I feel the same way about the V6, Plenty of power for me... Enjoy! |
There's a great V6 Bolt on mod area of the forum that would be very helpful for answering any mod questions on your '6!
