Chevy Camaro SS photos emerge en masse

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/25/c...erge-en-masse/
From AUTOBLOG:
"We've had fun looking at the new Camaro in LS and LT trim, and even the RS appearance package livens things up a bit, but if we're to be honest, we really only care about the SS model. Fortunately for us, new photos of the Camaro Super Sport have found their way online thanks to an enthusiast who goes by the handle of RagSS on the forums. It's claimed that RagSS took these pics, which we find suspect considering their high quality. Well, maybe he took this one. Regardless, they were taken and we're told show the Camaro SS basking in the sun around Hudson Valley, New York, another claim we doubt considering the type of vegetation and, oh, we don't know, large mountains in the background. Go west, young man.

With a 6.2L LS3 V8 producing 422 hp and 408 lb-ft of torque, the SS will be the cream of the Camaro crop for now and probably some time to come, as its power level puts the SS nearly on par with the base Corvette. While the Camaro SS may lack many of the Corvette's other attributes, we're fairly certain Chevy doesn't want to start cannibalizing Vette sales."

Are those the 20" wheels??? They don't look that big???

I hope they look bigger in person. It doesn't look very aggresive?

JEFF2010SSMANUAL 08-25-2008 10:39 AM

What every man wants to hear......:sm0:

Sorry couldn't help myself....

Really why do you think it is too long?

Yes all Dodge makes is GAS GUZZLING OBESE PIGS lol... they will be lucky to survive 5 years more like 3 , look at there truck (HEMI) sales are horrible hell they can't even give them away , too bad I did like the 60s and early 70s mopars but times are changing... CHEVY HAS THE VOLT WHICH MANY SAY IS THE FUTURE OF THE COMPANY AND WILL SAVE THEM plus they have the most fuel efficient line up of all the Manufacturers even more than TOYOTA or HONDA , Ford is also smart by using a 4.6 l in there Stang to save fuel I think the LEGENDARY 5.0 will be back for the 2010 Stang it makes sense for the times , a small block with high HP and good fuel economy I doubt they will use the 6.2L they were talkin about it is just too big , they will also offer the ECOBOOST for the GT again to save fuel and give cosumers choice ,remember they only use a 5.4 in the Shelby GT 500 there top dog , plus Ford is rumored to be working on a similar vehicle as the VOLT they know they have to...

I think it looks too long too. But judging from info I've read, it's just that it's got a lot of length between the wheels. It's supposed to be an inch or so longer than a Mustang with a 6 inch longer wheelbase. Or something like that. So it's not a super long car, it just has a super long wheelbase with a not so long overall length. The long wheelbase is good because that means the wheels are pushed to the corners which will aid handling.

I agree.... SS on the side just below the word Camaro or. with some V8 Flags similar in design to the Big Block V8 flags... but modernized
