Sports Coupe Comparison - Camaro Included

Mustang beat us

Came in last because of back seat size, Visibility. But did have some pluses in their eyes especially the attention it got

last out of a 370z, Challenger, genesis and mustang... OOOOOOOK!

This look like a ford site to me.

LadiesMan217 06-18-2009 07:22 AM

Ford is all over that site. Dontcha think they may be a tad biased? And, since the Camaro is the Ford's biggest competitor...they're going to put it dead last.

CamaroSS426 06-18-2009 07:32 AM

Did anyone notice that they used the Mustand GT and Challenger SRT8 versus the V-6 Camaro in the test? I mean if you are going to compare premium models against a base, I would hope their premium vehicle could beat the base, but personally I don't think it does. Camaro beats the competion hands down. Next time they should let the V-8 compete against those hacks. This was FIXED.

The_Blur 06-18-2009 07:36 AM

I saw 3 Ford ads upon entering the site. That site is heavily biased.

The review is garbage.

five-oh 06-18-2009 07:39 AM

:bs: looks like Ford helped them make the call with a couple of advertising $$

badkarma 06-18-2009 08:28 AM

Could the dude not make it more obvious that he is reading from a script? Listening to him was painful.

That RX8 needs to be washed, jeebus.

JJ#48Racing 06-18-2009 08:34 AM

I don't buy that Ford influenced the scores. They didn't give the Mustang a great finish either. They should have used an SS for that comparison since they used a GT and an SRT.

chrisgalles 06-18-2009 09:07 AM

I could careless about these automotive journalist who actually know less than 95.5-97.9% of the members on this site. We all know our car is super badass and that's all that matters. True Story!! :burnrubber:

Right, because the Mustang finished first with no cons and the Camaro was chosen last because it's a Chevy. If it was actually biased then you would have seen a similar outcome. The review was just based off of a different perspective than what is usually tested (ride quality/comfort instead of power/performance).

ponycrusher21 06-18-2009 10:06 AM

rs??????????????????

WTF

ndnsith 06-18-2009 10:06 AM

That idiot cannot even pronounce "Camaro" correctly!!!!!

attymf 06-18-2009 10:13 AM

Did anyone notice that they tested a 2LT and not an SS....ROFLMAO.

I think the test comparison without the V8 is an absolute joke.

patriotpa 06-18-2009 10:38 AM

YAWN

Mr. Wyndham 06-18-2009 10:40 AM

I've never heard of that site....

lil_chef 06-18-2009 11:25 AM

they used the base model genesis and v6 camaro against the nissan with track pack, the GT and an srt8?

i think its obvious they knew what the outcome would be even before they tested the cars

Brokinarrow 06-18-2009 02:06 PM

The fact that they actually included the back seat of a sports coupe in their consideration immediately nullifies any credibility I was prepared to give them.

sigma_1966 06-18-2009 02:10 PM

Agree 100%. Not one of the cars they copared against comes even close in looks.

 nice

RobH 06-18-2009 04:43 PM

This was a silly test. They compare an SRT8 against a bunch of other 6 cylinders and the mustang? The the genesis wasn't even the top of the line, it was a 4 cylinder turbo. They didn't say anything bad about the camaro (1st in outward styling, 3rd in performance), so what exactly put it last? back seats and visibility? Silly.

They also tested the 2.0 Turbo Genesis instead of the V6 for whatever reason.

Lee9710 06-18-2009 05:26 PM

All that matters to me is that they are all behind me eating my SS's dust.........A Mustang GT can't compete, Srt-8 is close, but the Camaro is superior performance wise and that's most important. Any Challenger or Mustang GT can pull up beside a Camaro SS and see for themselves as it leaves em behind.
