Supercharger install DIY?

Have you guys installed your superchargers yourself or did you have a shop do it? I did all the work on my car myself, except the ring and pinion. L/t headers full exhaust, MGR shifter, full BMR suspension with cradle poly bushing, CAI, just the bolt on stuff, and a tune from Jannetty racing. I'm thing of buying a supercharger next year. want to do the install myself. Never worked on these LS motors worked on the older Chevy s/b. crank, cam, head install. Just want to get your guys take on a DIY. Yes or no?:iono: If I do buy, it will most likely be from Jannetty racing. Thanks.

I installed my Magnuson myself, it's pretty straight forward install with the install instructions. I have done everything on my car as well besides tuning. Just need some basic tools and general mechanical knowledge and your good to go IMO. I think it'll definitely be within your abilities for sure.

Thanks, I can't wait till I order mine! Who did your tune? If you don't mind me asking.
Sorry just saw your tag

I installed my SLP TVS2300 (same as Maggie) and it was very easy, pretty straight forward. I still need to get a good solid tune though because of my other mods.

I haven't been tuned yet with the Maggie on, but I bought HP Tuners so I will be doing my own tuning from now on.

I just did my Whipple last weekend. You seem to know a little about cars so you will be fine. Some of the screws in the front are kinda a pain in the A$$. Did anyone take like 30 mins trying to screw them in little by little?

I installed mine, and I had never really done any type of engine work before. I just followed the directions and some of the tips others had pointed out during their installs. If you do it yourself, you can also remove/reinstall should you have any unforeseen problems... like I did. Magnuson was great though, and this one has been on 2+ yrs with no issues.

Did my Edelbrock myself, with help from a friend setting the unit in place (its heavy). And I'm a desk-jockey!
