Want to drag race your car with stock rims? Here's the tire

I did a quick search on Discount tires for tires that would fit the rear rim of the ZL 1 and so far I have been able to find that the Nitto 555R Drag radial will work!

It's a little spendy, but when you purchase this car I doubt money is the first thing coming to your mind.

Nitto 555R Drag Radial

those are cheaper than the tires that come with the ZL1...

The Nitto NT05R 315 35 20s will work as well.

Aren't these the newer Nittos? The 555s were rubbish if I recall. I'd recommend MT ETStreets, too if there are comparable sizes.

The 555's were pretty weaksuck as drag tires, but I've had the et street radials and the nt05's on my last Cobra and the nt05's hooked hard enough to slip the clutch and handled rain better than the mt's. Pretty good tire

Yep, these are the newer design Nitto DRs. Super Chevy tested these against the MT dot radials and these ran a slightly better time. Same driver, same track, same day. I haven't tried mine yet at the track, but can't wait...I'm hoping to pick up a couple hundreths of a second running them.

Now, what kind of spare rims would be suitable for these DRAG DAY tires?

There is a big differeance between the NT05 and NT05R though.

Sweet news for both the new Nittos and MTs. I loved my ET Streets :D

Very true, I should have specified I was talking about the drag radial.

Anyone know how small of a rim will fit on a ZL1?
