what is the fastest you gone in your ZL1 -- whether on a track...

Just got through the break in period and had a stock camaro and a mustang challenge me last night. It was fun, but what scared me was that I hadn't even tested the car's limits even closely.

I think I got up to 140 once.

Are we going to have yet ANOTHER one of these threads?

79 still in the break-in period but cant wait until I can redline that baby. Just installed CAI last week and changing balancer and pulley this weekend so when I do hit that magical 1500 miles. I'm sure there will be a perminent GRIN !

Not everyone lives their lives on these forums 24/7 so they might not see something that might have already been posted.

Back to the subject. I've seen 145 on my Z's speedo and had plenty of throttle left.

I was 160 with plenty of road and throttle left. I was getting a lot of vibration. I didn't expect that. I think I will have my wheels re-balanced.

Somewhere around 140 in 4th gear hit redline and ran out of road.

137, was not a struggle at all to get there. Very comfortable at that speed, as long as it's on a closed course.

165mph with throttle left and unbelievably solid. Felt like lots of throttle yet.

Not my ZL1 but I went for a ride in a guys ZL1 184 when he let off the throttle
