Who is tired of hearing this.

I noticed that they conned the stang on the fact that it had a small back seat... WOW! I did not know that. I totally expected my pony car to have a back seat with the room of my impala. ITS A FREAKING PONY CAR!!! PONY IS SMALL. NOT AS BIG AS A HORSE, BUT SMALLER! DUH! http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/banghead.gif

Maybe for some people, but not too many people I know cross-shop the GT500 and Corvette. I know I didn't. If I was looking for the best performance off the showroom floor for my $$, I would not have bought the car I did. Given all the Camaro fans on this site, I figured it would be understood that performance is not the only reason why you buy a car.

Yeah, comparing the GT500 to the SS is just as goofy as comparing a GT500 to a Corvette, but that didn't stop all the magazines from doing just that during the time there was no Camaro or Challenger to compare it to.

My question is this. you need water to start a burn out on KR? Thats what the video shows. Chevy all the way here.

I'm with GL on this, the GT500 isn't on par with the Vette anymore than a 2SS is on par with a GT500. The truth of the matter is there is no Chevy that is fair to compare with the GT500...it's pretty much in a class of it's own in today's market.

I agree 100%, because the GT500 and KR are completely uncapable of doing a burn out.

2010 Shelby GT500 vs 2010 Camaro SS

1/4-mile: 12.4 vs 13.0

Hmmmm...nobody said anything about this sentence in the article. "we got that time running against a 14-mph headwind."

It's no fun to make the car you want sound bad. COME ON MAN. No one needs your science to spoil the fun. I hate you science. :(

that 10k price difference isnt just in the engine yanno. interior and everything else apply

Just using 2SS/RS I order at 36k as a reference. Minus
-sunroof
-ground effects
- decals
Missing the big picture the GT500 should out perform the Camaro, stock for stock, but $ will always be a factor. With the cost difference being at least 10k ( in my case) leaves a lot of room for upgrades in the Camaro. I don't care about all the interior arguments, just looking at the numbers. JMO
