MRT V1, it's mine!!

Just pulled the trigger. Thank you Maryland Speed. Can someone explain to me how these would be welded onto the stock pipes? A friend of mine said it was not recommended to weld stainless steel to a different type of metal and I'm pretty sure the stock pipes aren't stainless.

Congrats on the New exhaust, Love my V1's. Lots of people weld their Mrt's no problems.

Congrats and welcome to the MRT army. But as your friend said sometimes its not best to weld certain metals together but you should not have an issue with welding the MRTs to the stock pipes. Many pipe have and have been running like that for a while with zero issues

After 9 months of putting up with my V2's on the passenger side not staying put I took it to a muffler shop, 10 minutes and $25 later it was welded, both of them. He didn't even pull the clamps. It was worth it as I don't have to shove the pipe down once or twice a week anymore.

Were they actually coming off the car? Or were they just spinning around?

Passenger side would slip and tilt slightly upward into the diffuser. I tried to torque the clamp down and even pulled it back off and modify the clamp a little so it would clamp tighter it just would not hold and it would turn upward.

This thread is worthless without VIDEO/AUDIO! :D

So, I'm having that "Oh shit, what did I just do." moment. The drone is killing me, is there a way to fix that? I've heard people say add a resonated x-pipe, and add j-pipes. Has anyone else had this issue with the v1's? I'll try and get some videos up sometime this week.

 "should've have gotten the V8" oops the V2's! :bellyroll: Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Last year after hearing all the sound clips that was one reason I didn't do the V1's. From reading other threads on this the X-pipe may work as it sounds like it mellows the tone or sound a little. I hope you get this figured out.
