Fishing question...small boats.

We are in the market for a little aluminum fishing boat, it's just the 2 of us and our dog. We have a Lab, she will be in the neighbor hood of (8 month puppy now)80 LBS. My question is stability. Will either one of these be safe/stable?

The Lowe will be a lot more stable in rough water

Either a flat bottom or V boat will work. The width is mainly what makes a boat stable for fishing. The jon boats are popular for fishing but as said above the v would ride better in rough water. Your question is hard to answer without knowing what type of fishing you are planning and where (lake, river?)
Both types have there own purpose. I would suggest finding a quality boat dealer in your area that will know what to sell you for what you are trying to accomplish. Whatever you do, have fun. Fishing is a blast.

I have a 14 ft lowe deep v and it is very stable. But when white caps hit on the lake we get off the lake

Thanks for the input gentleman yes this was just the first process in getting information together so I can make an informed decision. We are only going to be fishing on lakes. I liked the lowe boat and now I know I don’t need to waste my time going to Bass Pro shops looking at those flat bottom top or boat

Go with the v bottom for sure. Flat will beat you to death on lake.

Like motorhead said, Width is everything.
If you can get wider than those I would do it.

go with a v hull. also, wider is better
