Anyone running a LPE GT11 or GT12 cam?
I did some searching on them but for some reason they don't seem to be very popular on here, or anywhere else for that matter. Just curious if any of you had any experience with either of them, pros/cons?

Fast list is your friend........that's of course if you're wanting to actually go fast.

GT11 is a positive displacement supercharger cam, unless you are doing a supercharger it would not be good.
GT12 would be a alright NA cam, great duration numbers. Lobe seperation is still a little wide for my liking but it would idle better and it has no advance ground in which would be a late intake valve closing and lower cylinder pressure. This is really more like a centrifugal supercharger cam. https://www.lingenfelter.com/PDFdown...L210165897.pdf I would stick with Texas Speed cams, they make them in house and have all the bases covered, cant go wrong. Lingenfelter cams are not popular in the Camaro world. |
LPE is expensive that's why.... though they make lots of very good products...

You'll quickly see that a vast majority run GPI cams. TSP and BTR are right there with them too.

check out Livernois.

I ran the GT1-1 cam for a while (daily driver). Sounded great, ran great, awesome drivability. I would definitely recommend.
https://www.lingenfelter.com/product/L210075297.html This sound clip is the cam, headers, no cats, stock mufflers. Video does no justice, sounded awesome! Only reason I changed cams is because a failed lifter damaged the cam and wanted to try something bigger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzSfu0ynFKk |
They have many packages. I would use them in a heartbeat. They have built a lot of fast cars.

Agreed. Take your time and learn. Too many jump in eyes closed and spend half their time (and money) correcting it and the other half on here bitching. Ha!
