The key is we have to arrive together. (TCC5 & SFC5) For those who have not raced before keep in mind that you have to go through tech inspection first. Sign your waiver, show your driver license, and get numbered. Once we all pass tech we need to organize ourselves in the lot and start partnering up. Also, keep in mind that you will need a helmet. PBIR will not allow you on the track without one.

Everyone needs a helmet if your running 13.99 and under but yeah good job explaining

camarovigoa 06-29-2011 02:37 PM

And what we can do is TCC5 gets numbered with yellow dial in paint and SFC5 with white just to specify which club your in if thats cool with everyone

GreenMonster 06-29-2011 02:38 PM

Look I say we establish that the winner will be the one with the fastest time on their slip, because it is NOT guaranteed we will match up, so keep that in mind. at the end of the day the v6/v8/sc with the fastest time will be the winner of their respective category.
no matter how many runs we do the fastest time slip for each person is what will count.

Hey toehead93 - you're down my way in wellington right? you should come check out the TCC5 guys up in Jupiter/PSL - great group of guys - we're always looking for more members...

Go big or Go home 06-30-2011 01:42 PM

Just some additional information for everyone (should be common knowledge but you never know) if your racing you must be in closed toe shoes and long pants, if any other girls are racing have sleeves or a sweater to put on. Also I've been to PBIR twice in the past month or so and there's never too many people so I think getting everyone lined up will work but one switch will mess up everything so keeping track of times is a good idea.

Camaro98rs 06-30-2011 01:48 PM

If everything goes right ill be there racing :headbang:. This will be fun

Jaime068 06-30-2011 01:50 PM

So what kinda helmets we need? And where can we get them? Lol

Its a bit of a haul to the PSL, but I'm sure I'll make it up sometime. If I was in town this weekend I would head up for the movie opening. Jupiter I can handle though. Maybe I can come by before the PBIR night.

Check online for helmets. I bought a full-face helmet for $120 years ago. Here's the 2011 NHRA rule:
HELMET
For all 10.00 to 13.99 closed-bodied cars, either an open-face or a full-face Snell M2000, M2005, M2010, K2005, SA2000, SA2005,
SA2010, SFI 31.1A, 31.1/2005, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.1/2005, or 41.2A helmet with or without a shield is mandatory required.

For all 9.99 and quicker closed-bodied cars, a full-face Snell M2000, M2005, M2010, K2005, SA2000, SA2005,
SA2010, SFI 31.2A or 41.2A helmet mandatory; shield permitted (goggles prohibited).

Damn. I've never run 1/4mi in KITT... I guess I'm buying a helmet anyway.

What's a good site/local store for helmets?

Try this site. Helmets aren't cheap! At least the good ones aren't. Just sort it by price.

camarovigoa 07-01-2011 08:08 AM

Hey TCC5 anyone in your group have a camaro with cam and heads because we might have to make another category because we have a member thats in the middle it wouldn't be fair to run him in the SC category but it wouldn't be fair to the other SS's if he runs with them so let me know if you have someone :)

Camaro98rs 07-01-2011 08:10 AM

That would be me

camarovigoa 07-01-2011 08:56 AM

V6 LT
SS bolt-ons
SS NA
SC
and what we can do is the top 5 or as many camaro's the classes have fastest in there classes race against each other

Camaro98rs 07-01-2011 10:01 AM

once again remember theres NO GUARANTEE we would be paired, if we do thats great but I think we should just play it safe and at the end of the night whoever has the fastest time in each category wins that category, and whoever has the most winners in each category per club wins the battle... regardless we are still a month away so we got time to figure it out
