GM opened up the order window earlier than it typically does for a new car because of the pent-up demand for the new Camaro, a GM spokesman said.

More than 600,000 people were "hand raisers" who had given GM an e-mail address in order to be notified about Camaro news.

Hmmm that is 3/4 Camaro for every dealer there is.

Basing that off the fact that i believe there are 4,000 dealerships.

the local dealer in my area didnt get Any.

also i guess i was a little short in my guess of 1000

so I'm the only order as of now, he has over 12 more people wanting to order now. They are a very small dealer, but a very good one.....

My dealer only got 2 and I am nuber one.

Hmmm high demand!! I would build it sooner...but that was just me, and nothing ever goes my way.

I am wondering now that gm knows the initial demand if they will start production early?

This is soooooo beautiful to hear! I was heartbroken when they stopped production in 2002; I was 19, 20 years old and feared that my dream of buying a brand new Camaro would never come true, but here it is, even in these bleakest of times, not even fully born yet but ALIVE AND KICKIN ASS!!

I dont think they can start production earlier and still call it a 2010.

My dealer got 27, but they are unsure how it was going to be distributed over time.

I'd be willing to take a 2009 car. One of what - 2,000?
