"NEED" a Aftermarket Short Throw Shifter. 2012 Camaro

Hey guys i been looking for a 2012 Manual 6 Speed Aftermarket Short Throw Shifters, I like the hurst short throw , but it uses an ugly que ball and i just dont like it in my black camaro, and my stock shifter does not have the cool looking H on it for hurst so i wanna replace that also, but does anyone else know what good brands out there sell good short throw upgrades with a nice looking shifter? Manual Tranny :)

I have an MGW with a Hurst pistol grip and love it. I needed a pistol grip with 12v switch for my line-lock and MGW had none. I went with the MGW because it replaces more than just the shaft, is easier to shift for the wifey and all the rave reviews here on C5. Their customer service is excellent as well.

I really like my Barton shifter http://www.bartonindustries.com/CAMARO-PRODUCTS.html

Don't let the shift knob keep you from getting the shifter you want... there are lots of aftermarket knobs available too.

Love the Barton short throw

Barton make a good shifter. If you go with his short throw to fit the stock knob its only about $195.00 then im sure you can find the factory hurst knob some where ebay or even on here. Or even order the knob through the dealer I think Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet sells the hurst factory shifter she can probably get you just the knob.

How does the barton Short Throw work compared to the MGW entire shifter assembly?

I have the LSR shifter and I love it.
Had it on for several thousand miles now doing great.

Not to sure I havent tried the MGW but I have heard it works very well considering they replace the whole assembely. Either way hurst, barton, MGW and most of the aftermarket short throws have the provisions for the stock knob since you dont like the cue ball.

Here is Becky's profile she has done alot for the C5 community and she can most likely get you the shifter with the hurst logo on it. As far as I know she can even get you the factory hurst shifter assembly and all. Give her a ring she is a great person to deal with.

Obviously you've found the link by now. :D As for the pistol grip, I love it. Did not like the cue balls at all. Its sleek, comfortable and you feel in total control when WOT. I'll get some pics posted for you.
