Fast LSXr Intake

Does any one have any experience yet, with the LSXr intake on their stock or modified LS3? I have heard & read a lot on this and other forums, that it does not perform well...No performance gains. My engine builder has been hearing the same. We are about to finish my LS3-427 Stroker. It will be installed in a few weeks. We will be useing the LSXr intake. We are going to tune the new engine with the stock LS3 intake and then install the Fast intake to get a before and after. This will be done on a dyno. I will share the results. Just wondering if any one else has installed this intake and how it did.

How can anyone say the LSXR for the LS3 works or not. They are not shipping them yet. Only the LS7 version. LS3's are due in September.

+1

They are not out yet....The LS7 intake is out and people are gaining about 15HP with it....
I have seen the LS7 version on the dyno and it works...I am sure the LS3 will work also.

I have a bunch of them ordered, and I will stand by them!!!

Thanks For The Feedback

:(:mad0260::mad0259: Looks like some of the folks at FAST/Comp Performance are not up on their products. My engine builder ordered a LSXr-102mm intake about three months ago, when he was ordering all the parts for our LS3 project. He specified that it was for a LS3 with L92 heads and was told it would be coming out in 4-6 weeks...fine. It finally arrived about two weeks ago...great. Posted this thread last night and several of you replied that it was still not available, so I started investigating this morning. Sure enough we received the intake for the LS7. Shipping it back and canceling order for now. Thanks again for your response and info.

If any one else has received one, be sure to check the part # on the box. The part number for the LS3 & L99 is #146102. P/N 146202 is for the LS7. Also, be sure you order/receive the right fuel injector spacer kit that is required.

Does the Fast intake for the Ls3 for work the L99? or do those people have to get a different intake ?

lol.. don't let facts get in the way of a good story!!!! ;)

Everytime we've tested a FAST intake it made more power than a factory intake. Higher output engines showed a better gain and smaller displacement/power engine showed less of a gain.

I was just notified by FAST that this intake will not be ready until OCTOBER now. It is now almost one year behind!

Will the FAST 92mm for the LS2 work on the LS3?

Nope...not unless you convert back to LS3 heads etc...which would be a waste because you would lose too much HP

Yep, sucks. but keep in mind this is a completely different manifold than the original FAST LSX, which was 3 pieces sandwiched together. The LSXR has individual replacement runners. this is new territory and requires a lot of very expensive tooling. FAST spent over a year working on a 4.6 Ford manifold and finally shelved it because the only gains were up high, and even those were not enough to justify the $600,000+ tooling costs. The LS3 LSXR will be right when it ships.
