ALL V8/V6 Camaro Fluid Capacities/Specs

i thought this might be a helpful thread. :chevy: i know many of you like to do your own services. heres all the fluid capacities and fluid specifications for the camaro's-

Differential- (MUST be GL-5 approved fluid!)
Manual V6/V8: 1.0 qts............75W-90 Gear Oil GL-5(GM p/n 89021677)
^^Requires the use of LSD additive approx. .075 L/2.6 oz (GM p/n 1052358)
Auto V6: 0.9 qts............75W-90 Gear Oil GL-5(GM p/n 89021677)
^^NO LSD required, but if already premixed with your fluid is OK

Engine- (GM recomends using synthetic engine oil)
LS3/L99: 8.0 qts........5W-30 Synthetic Oil(GM uses Mobil 1)
V6: 6.0 qts........5W-30 Synthetic Oil(GM uses Mobil 1)
^^Capacities are WITH replacement of oil filter
LS3/L99 Oil Filter: ACDelco PF48.........K&N HP-1017........Napa Gold 7060
V6: ACDelco PF2129............K&N HP-7003........Napa Gold 7090

Cooling System-
LS3: 11.7 qts........ Dexcool 50/50 mix (Orange, NO Green Antifreeze!)
L99: 11.5 qts.......Same as above
V6: 11 qts.......Same as above

Transmission-
LS3: 3.65 qts..........Manual Transmission Fluid (GM p/n 88861800)
^^That p/n is apparently just a new number/name for Dextron III, which is what these transmissions have in them from the factory. DO NOT use Dextron VI or any types of gear oils (ie 75W-90)
L99/V6 Auto: 6.7 qts (pan/filter removal), 11.0 qts (complete flush)...........Dextron VI
^^I DO NOT recomend using aftermarket "shift kit" fluids^^
V6 Manual: 1.9 qts........75W-90 Gear Oil GL-5(GM p/n 89021677)

hope some of you all find this useful :D
