Paint Advice

Hey all and happy Veterans Day! I bought a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS with under 20,000 miles from an elderly guy a few months back. I've added CAI, strut tower brace. sub-frame connectors plus a lot of interior updated to bring some of the Red Jewel Tintcoat into the interior.
My question is concerning the door panel insert color. It's a silver/gray metallic color and I like it.(I've replaced the ugly greenish door top light with red LED's) I've spent hours on the internet trying to get spray paint to match that panel. Went to auto zone, advances, naps, etc and have tried several paints that the lid seemed a good match, but they all were way to silver, or way too gray. I even tried home depot, Lowes with no luck yet. Just wondering if anyone knows what the color is called, or any suggestions on what may be close. I've tried 4 Krylon, 4 duplicolors, and 1 Rustoleum but none seem to match.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have the paint mixed into a can at a auto body supply house

I went the other direction. I had all of the grey/silver panels painted crystal red tint coat.

Looks awesome.

Do you have any pics? Also, how durable is the paint?

Just as durable as exterior paint. Had it done 4 years ago and looks exactly the same today.

The only thing not painted is the radio face plate due the back lighting on the a/c controls.

Good question. I'd like to know too. Also, how much did it cost?

Done at the local Chevy dealership body shop. I know the manager. They did my stripes too. Commit to paint, no vinyl on my car.

The center air vent is the most expensive part to remove, paint and reinstall. The steering column has to be dropped, dash removed just to get the vent out. R&R on that one piece is almost $1000.
Interior paint of all the parts, removal and reinstallation, painting the hood and truck stripes and full car color correction and buff was about $4500 not including the center vent R&R.
The car was still under warranty and that piece mysteriously broke just before I had the paint work done, so the R&R was covered by GM, wink wink.

Timaaay, sorry to hijack the thread, just giving you options.

I have ordered a few cans from, I believe, Automotive Touch Up. Matched perfect

Don't limit yourself to paint. You. can get some custom vinyl graphix that make it your own. Chris at Vengeance Graphic can work with you to come up with some awesome designs.
