Gonna be a busy weekend! ZL1 HO pump install.

Gonna install the ZL1 HO pump and change out the Injectors, and while I'm at it I have some room to mess with the lines for the MightyMouse Catch Can, I'm glad my rear seat delete has 2 separate panels and only have to remove the bottom one to gain access to cut the access door, I picked a nibbler that attaches to the Milwaukee drill and has two adjustable heads for depth.
the one not in use you can attach the grip to it, it's a low profile one, maybe a 1/4" or less.
I shoot a Video see how it goes...warning! sound might be rated X lol
I'm glad @FasNuf has the video with the dimensions and offsets for the access door.:happy0180:

It looks like the nibbler has a shaft that protrudes out the bottom and oscillates I don't think there will be enough headroom between the tank and floor. You might want to look at getting an air/electric shear You can find them at tractor supply or Harbor freight pretty cheap. The Harbor Freight Central Pneumatic shears are on close out for $13.00 if you have a compressor, probably junk but should last long enough for what your doing.

This. The tank is literally up against the floor. I used these shears as well.

I will be doing this myself very soon. I plan on buying an electric metal sheer with the time comes.

Post some progress pics as you go.

I would honestly like to watch you do this. I want to do my fuel pump in the future and cut a trap door

My wife cut mine with a dremel tool. You basically cannot go below the metal. The wiring loom is very tight, the fuel lines are very tight, and the tank is fairly close.... I used the 8x8 allstar performance access panel door and riveted it in place. Turned out great.

If you didn't get the door yet I ordered one from Summit or Jegs I forget which that looks great at a low price. See other posts as they have sizes and don't advertise it as a 5th trapdoor...

Yeah I might just send the nibbler back and get me some shears, I have a Milwaukee Dremel tool, I just don't want to create some sparks down there..
And I got the door from Jegs 8x8 in black.
Leadslead come on down and help me lol

Unless you think you have a fuel leak no need to worry about sparks-if you are concerned you can just grind down a groove as deep as you can and CAREFULLY use a chisel to make the final cut.

This is how I thought about a blend door install. Turned out it was a 3-day weekend!:bonk:
