I usually unbolt the fog light after MOT but will look at getting a hinge to keep it hidden saves me...

I agree John this is what I told the tester, but his interpretation of it is because the wheel arch flares out it blocks out the marker at the 5° angle.
I didn't argue with the man as it had failed...

Yeah IVA (individual Vehical Approval) is what most import vehicles need to pass when coming into the UK, when I imported my 2010 Camaro SS it failed because the side marker cannot be seen from this...
