I totally agree. I am sooo happy with my 2010 SS. The design team really went backwards with the 2014 IMO. :thumbdown:

The system overpowers the crackling when cranked up. No popping or "floating" at high levels. I have the audio levels set perfect for loud music.

I believe it's an electical short somewhere deep...

Well, like I said, they replaced the passenger side tweeter but still does it, and it does it with the ignition off and the stereo off. Would that still be a speaker problem? :iono:

Yeah, doesn't look right to me either. The corners are too square. I had a 96 ram air Firebird with T-Tops and the openings were slightly rounded and matched the lines of the car. This is off a bit.
