Yes catalytic converters have a federally mandated warranty of 8 years. The catalytic converter was replced free.

$27k is what I paid for the car originally.

Probably could not use the gloss if you wanted. Its not super glossy. The glossifier is more of a clear coat than a gloss coat.

Dried wax from previous detailers is something that I deal with frequently. I have several little tools that I useto physically remove it. Slick Stixx, plastic scrapers, brushes, pink erasers, etc....

No you can't use polish on vinyl stripes because of the abrasives in the polish. Any type of "glaze" is not going to look even.

Unfortunately its probably a live with it or replace it situation....

This is pretty much what I do (different products.) If you can't stand to see scratches and swirls, and you correct them right away, a paint sealant is cheaper than a coating.
