No change. Treat them like the painted portions and you'll be fine. Though I don't think you're supposed to wax them (at least I don't).

no, you should buy a mit. A sponge keeps all the grit you are trying to wash off at the surface of the sponge. By the end of one stroke you've successfully ground all of that all the way across.
