My bro did the same thing on a Z06 but it cost him 10 bucks. just go to a hardware store buy the wire and switch and have it as a manual switch. Lots of posts on corvette forums on doing this.

Personally im just going to wire in a switch to the fuse that works the butterfly valves. might require some labor but would only cost about 10$ or so for parts at any hardware store.

My shifter has vibrations but nothing like that. it mainly depends on the RPM, if your dogging low in RPMs the vibrations get worse. My take on it anyhow
