no I dont monitor A/f ratio, but I'm in the process in getting a aerometer gauge. I think it's more like burnt fuel yes. irratates my eyes and noise alittle.

mgw also supplied there own arms and or bracket attachments to the trans. unlike Hurst you get just the shift tower replacement. one reason why it cost more.

I second MGW all the way. I bought the Hurst short throw first. biggest difference I notice was the smoothness, ease when shifting into gear, and quieter then the hurst.
