Not sure if you can rotate the pump head itself....would need to look again, but I doubt it.

Although you might be able to remove the two long screws that hold the motor body casing and rotate it...

Filter is bound to be full of aluminium ( and rest of the engine )

On my LS2 pump I have noticed the rear plug moving a little, but it's never actually come all the way out.

Given the diameter of it, even with say 15psi in the system, that's a lot of force acting...

It is tuning them to your engine, same way all aspects of the ecu need tuned to suit your engine.

I really cannot see the appeal of trying to flat shift such a car. It's just asking for trouble, even more so when traction is difficult. It's not like there is any lag at all during a shift.

Factory sleeves almost never move.

I'd say with regular use, always fresh fuel going through things, correct filters etc, and never allowing it to sit too long or moisture to collect anywhere, it should remain "clean" for some time.

If you can route them to cooler air without adding restriction, really it can only be a positive move.
