I bought a small brake bone and the lifter moves freely hp and down now. I barely ran it to just take out any imperfections, but i did t like the hone because it got caught repeatedly in the oil...

I think that the lifter roller/bearing wore down...

It should be able to slide off with some prying after that pita nut is finally off. I did nothing with that trans flange once off. You cant reuse it. Get a good cheater bar for prying and go around...
