I heard that as well. But those were old cam cores and that was a while back in one bolt design. Also read about the non-hardened cams having isues with that and wear overall.

yeah...and let's say you did have a...

yeah...and let's say you did have a 3bolt...somthing caused the resistance that sheered the pin and bolt. That would have still been there and still damaged valve train and what not.
