I'm not asking for new heads for $600. Just rebuildable cores. I have seen a few with an asking price higher than that. They're still for sale though. If I have to pay more than $600, I'll tape the...

I wouldn't call the TX Speed cam you have referenced in your first post a blower cam. TX Speed wouldn't call it that either. That's a fairly aggressive N/A cam. Here's their stage 3 PD blower cam.......

Yeah, my transmission guy says that a TH400 is pretty much a 4L80 without the overdrive. Same with a TH350 being similar to a 4L60 without o/d. There are some noticeable power delivery differences...

I agree on keeping the o/d crank pulley. You might look at the idler closest to your blower pulley. If there's room, you can increase the diameter of that pulley to increase belt wrap on your blower...

A turbo 400 is a pretty notorious power eater. A built one won't break, but it won't win you any dyno contests either. Add a high stall speed converter and you can really see some disappointing...

I'm out in the rice fields just west of Houston. It's kinda hard to tell because it typically doesn't slip at lower rpm when you can stare at the gauge a little. Mine started slipping at 5500...

Are you sure it's not slipping now? At 13psi with a healthy blower cam and bolt-ons, seems like it should show a little more power. Or is your compression ratio way less than stock?

You're spinning to blower faster, so there is more load on the serp. belt. That pulley setup is the equivalent of running a 3.25" blower pulley with 1:1 rears. Shouldn't slip if your tensioner is...

If you're M6 tranny, you could get there with just a little more boost. If you're A6, that's a pretty tall order. Not saying it can't be done, but you'll probably need more octane (meth or e85)....
