Automatics are a big mystery to me....They seem to have been bullet-proof and worked well over the years for drag-racing....Road racing, not so much with American cars....too heavy....harder on...

So this supercharged/heat-soak/limp-mode "issue" is no longer an issue?....The ZL-1, even with an automatic, is immune from over-heating?....Just curious as a supercharged engines in the not too...

Well, Randy gave the nod to the Z/28 as best car over a lot of uber-expensive exotic foreign cars.....I think the Mustang had an up-hill battle for sure to be better than a car that is 90% a Z/28.......

My uneducated guess would be perhaps the Z/28 was considered a "track-capable" car already and tested as such....Perhaps the ZL=1 was not in the same "category"....

What I recall from previous Z/28 discussions, we may not see a 6thGen Z/28 for the first several years of the 6thGen Camaro....It may be a tail-end thing like it is for the 5thGen....The '14 Z/28...
