If its burning up then the compressor oil level is likely off. I doubt it would be over/under charged that many times. Pull the a/c belt off, if the noise goes away that's it. Realize its a one time...

Return it and buy a name brand instead of a $100 Chinese special. When designed improperly it can throw the range of the MAF signal off or you have leaks in the system.

You'll still loosen the bolts to lower slightly, just keep an eye on the fuel pump harness or disconnect, takes 2 seconds. Yes you want a flex head wrench, worth their weight in gold anyways.

Pulling on a part while on a lift won't verify anything unless it's completely broken. Tighten the crap outta everything, especially sway bar end links. Use loctite. That solves 90% of issues....
