That's great...but heavier duty trans and breaks aren't that easy to cut weight on. Really this build is awesome no matter what. I just don't think 1K# in curb weight is feasible once you swap...

No you won't, as long as the overall diameter of the wheels/tires is the same between your 18s to the 20s. The car only cares about the OD (outside diameter) whether it's got 17s or 22s.

Nope its overkill IMO. A car sitting in winter storage 4-5 months isn't going to hurt anything. Most of these cars sat just as long if not longer in GMs Canadian factory lot and the dealers lot.
